Any 1 hour period, between 8am and 5pm — $45 delivery surcharge

Delivery between 6am and 7am — $125 delivery surcharge
Delivery between 7am and 8am — $75 delivery surcharge

Delivery between 5pm and 8pm — $45 delivery surcharge
Delivery between 6pm and 9pm — $45 delivery surcharge

Consider having the delivery made the afternoon before. The latex balloons will need a balloon treatment applied. The extra cost is 50 cents per balloon. The treatment is called Ultra HiFloat. It is a clear, glue-like substance that coats the interior wall of the balloon...keeping the helium from passing out as quickly. Instead of 18-24 hours, the float-time is 3+ days indoors!

"Do you need to be paid before?"
Answer ~ Yes. It's not an order placed until it is paid. We accept the 4 major credit cards. Our system sends an email receipt. The subject line will say "order confirmation". If you would rather wait to get the "order confirmed email receipt" on the day of the event, you can supply the credit card info NOW and I can wait to charge that same day.
"I need balloons outdoors....?"
Answer ~ We do not decorate outdoors. A comfortable indoor spot must be provided while we inflate and form the decorations because we can not be fast if we are fighting to control balloons in the wind and the heat makes our fingers sweaty making it difficult to make knots. It's not a good idea to leave balloons outdoors to bake in our 100 degree days for hours before the party. The customer can move the decorations outside just before the party starts. They are fresher and shinier when they are first inflated. Our humidity will make the balloon surface appear cloudy due to oxidation. Use common sense and do not place balloons near abrasive or sharp surfaces (brick walls, branches, etc). There is no guarantee for balloons used outdoors because of Mother Nature.
"Can I come by and pick up a few balloons?"
Answer ~ NO...sorry! We do not have a retail location or showroom. We only provide delivery and decorating services.
"I need 7-9 balloons delivered...is there a minimum?"

Here is a plan for singles delivered (decorate-it-yourself). These are not arranged or installed as in plan A above. The customer provides the weight. Our staff delivers and quickly attaches ribbons of balloons to an existing table or chair leg. If the venue is a hotel, we will drop-off to the concierge (saving the $20 parking fee). Or, we can provide a larger sand weight with a twisty/pipe cleaner ($4.50 each...one is all you need for about 40-50 balloons).
Quick Quote, Plan B customer installs "D-I-Y" decorate it yourself":
Balloon Single Latex 11", helium-filled & ribbon attached: 30 @ $1.55 = $46.50
Delivery/Gas/Mileage*: $18.50
Subtotal: $65.00
Sales Tax, 8.25%: $5.36
Total: $70.36
Will you meet on site to discuss decorations?"
This includes an hour of my time and cost for my gas/mileage fees.
Our prices our very fair and are not inflated to include this service. Our email quotes, website, and photos on facebook are very detailed. If you see an idea on the internet that you would like a quote for...it's easy to right-click/copy the image and then right-click/paste it into the body of an email to: balloonatiks@msn.com
Please include the date of the event, the venue, if it's indoors/outdoors, and the amount of time allowed for the install :)
Will you make a Mock Up?"
Even if the centerpiece is only $20 you still have to pay $50 for a sample. Sometimes we have to go shopping and purchase items to make it. I may have to buy a whole package just to get one item out of it to make a mock up and then the remaining items sit around in storage not being used. We have to go shopping and buy things and our time and supplies are valuable.
"How many balloons are in a cluster? "
Answer ~ any number of balloons can be in a balloon bouquet. The most popular size is 10 latex...arranged one at the top, nested underneath is a layer of 3 balloons all at the same level, nested underneath is another 3, and again another layer under that one. As the bouquet slowly spins/rotates because of the vents, all sides look the same! If the budget will not allow 10, how about 7 balloons, instead of a tiered pattern "1-3-3-3"...this one is "1-3-3". If you need it taller, add more....smaller? how about 3?
There are other patterns to consider like staggered or umbrella.
Trees (under Decorating above) if you are searching for "clusters" or "groupings" that are about 7-8 ft tall, with long ribbons (the trunk), & the weight is at the floor.
Centerpieces (under Decorating above) if you are searching for "clusters" or "groupings" with the weight at the center of the table.
Team of Two (under Decorating above) a package plan that allows for last-minute changes..for when you don't know how many? or how high? or how wide? And, you save money :)
"Do you rent helium tanks? "
Answer ~ NO...sorry. If you bought balloons on line, we can bring the helium tank to your location and inflate your balloons for you on-site. We bring pre-cut curling ribbon with us to make us speedy. If some of your balloons are large, foil shaped balloons, please remove them from the packaging and have the ribbon pre-attached to each balloon.
*Add delivery (from $18.50), any parking fees, & sales tax 8.25% to the following:
Helium, Large Tank, fills 400 11" latex = $480.00
Prices do not include decorating, install, or setup. If this service is desired, please see our
"Team of Two" package plans.
"Can I get a logo on my balloons within a few days?"
Answer ~ NO...sorry. Logo imprints require 5-7 working days for QX Express or 10-12 days working days for Impress II. We can only do straight line type...no time for a logo. Plus ADD next day air shipping which I would estimate at least $150.00. There is no Rush Charge, because we are using QX Express.
Shipping, 11", next day air, from: $150.00
By the way, for a logo we need artwork in the file format for curved surfaces called .eps and pre-payment. The price includes ground shipping to our office and we hand-deliver the package to you.
Qualatex Latex, 11", standard color: 200 @ $1.2064 = $241.28
Qualatex Latex, 11", standard color: 2500 @ $0.267904 = $669.76
Qualatex Latex, 11", standard color: 5000 @ $0.22152 = $1,107.60
"I need 5 clusters, logos on all, top is a larger size..."
Sales Tax, 8.25%: $42.60
The order needs only 50 of these 600 balloons. These will store well for years inside a indoor drawer or closet (away from hot temperatures). I suggest not using a date to use for future events. They would make great marketing give-a-ways too.
If the budget will not allow, how about only using the 11" balloons (no 16").
"How long do balloons float?"
Answer ~ It depends on the quality of the balloon and the size. Also, there are two types of balloons: "foil" (mylar) or "latex" (rubber)?
Foil types are actually a plastic balloon with a foil sprayed design. Examples: shape of heart, round, star; cartoons like Mickey Mouse and Superman; bees, animals, fish, flowers, butterflies; message; theme, etc. Float-time: about 3+ days. Don't cut the valve and you can re-fill it! When it gets soft, you can add air from your lungs by inserting a straw through the valve about 4". As you are doing this, place a thumb on the end of the straw (so the helium doesn't escape)...then quickly remove your thumb, replacing with your lips and blow. Once full, replace your lips with the thumb again and slowly remove the straw. Voila! Like magic...looks new! You can use the straw to deflate/flatten and store these in a drawer or closet (no hot temperature)...reuse them year after year!
Latex types are natural and biodegrade as fast as a leaf or wood chip. They are porous and the helium quickly begins to escape from all surfaces. The balloon floats because helium is a gas that is "lighter-than-air". Once all the helium escapes OUT of the balloon, gravity forces the balloon to the ground! We use a professional brand called Qualatex which means it will float longer than most party-store balloons. An 11" size Qualatex will float 18-24 hours indoors. Compared to a party-store balloon in our city that has a sign: 12" float-time 8 hours!" There are 2 reasons for the shorter float-time: the balloon is not professional quality and is more porous...so the helium escapes FASTER; the staff is not experienced and it takes them longer to inflate the balloons starting hours before you pick up! We can inflate 100 balloons every 15 minutes. We deliver them immediately! Consider that there are different sizes of balloons: 9" float 9-12 hours and 16" float 30+ indoors. The larger the balloon, the more helium inside, the longer they will float! If you need a longer float-time, a balloon treatment called "Hi-Float" is like an interior barrier slowing down the escape of the helium...an 11" will float 3+ days! A 36" about 5+ days! For colors and more information: Color Chart/Latex (under the Balloon Colors/Styles above.
"Are balloons plastic?"
Answer ~
The foil type are. Some times they are called "mylar" (this word is owned by the Dupont company and they don't want us to use it for describing balloons. The word was used to describe the film back when I started about 26+ years ago and it just stuck with the public who insist on using the word to describe this type balloon. When I properly use the word "foil", I get silence or confused looks? Mylar, in fact is too heavy. An example of mylar is the little subject tabs on notebook dividers used at schools. The plastic is actually "metallized nylon" (plastic with the design or color sprayed on). Most foil balloons come with self-sealing valves. If not, the valve must be sealed with a heat sealer. If these are stored indoors in a closet or drawer (not in the heat) they can last for years. I've also seen the smaller 2, 4 or 9" size filled with air, heat-sealed and on an erecto cup and straw hang around for years! The ones with self-sealing valves can be re-filled.
The latex type are not plastic. Sometimes called "rubber". Qualatex balloons are 100% natural and biodegradeable. The rubber tree produces it...and the process to collect it is very similar to collecting maple for syrup. The tree's trunk is lightly scored and a spout attached to collect the white, milky rubber that slowly drips in...about 2 balloons per tree per day. It's collected in drums and shipped to Qualatex factories in USA, Canada, Mexico where the colors are added and different shapes and sizes of molds are dipped in. These balloons biodegrade as quickly as an oak leaf or wood chip.
If you own a rubber plant and one of the big waxy leaves has broken off, did you notice the white milky drop at the breaking point? That's latex...that's what balloons are made of. In Mexico, I've see rubber plants as tall as our mightly Oak trees here in Texas. Most of the Rubber trees are in Malaysia, and are also cleaning our air of carbon dioxide with oxygen!
"How many balloons does it take to fill a room?"
"I learned on a webpage that if I took the square feet of a room times .66..., the result is the number of 11 inch balloons to completely fill an entire space? 2500 balloons, the cost?"
Answer ~ No dimensions for the room were provided...here were the 2 plans (filled with helium, filled with air).
Latex balloon, 11", helium: 2500 @ $1.32 = $3300.00
Latex balloon, 11", air: 2500 @ $0.90 = $2250.00
My 3rd plan was for fewer balloons...allowing for furniture in the room?
Latex balloon, 11", air: 1250 @ $0.90 = $1125.00
4th plan was to suggest only helium balloons resting on the ceiling. A 16x20 ft room with an 8 ft ceiling is 2560 sq ft. (16x20=320 balloons).
Latex balloon, 11", helium: 320 @ $1.52 = $486.40
*helium-filled float 18-24 hours indoors. air-filled look nice for weeks but
but don't float. Add Delivery, Parking Fees, and Sales Tax (8.25%)
"Will you travel out-of-town?"
Answer ~ Yes! For Decorating Services, our minimum is $527.00. And, then add Delivery Fees and Sales Tax (8.25%). Our "Team of Two" package plan is GREAT for last-minute decisions/changes.
"Will you decorate on Sunday?"
Answer ~ NO! Sunday is our only day off...unless, the order is a minimum of $400. And, then add Delivery Fees and Sales Tax (8.25%). Our "Team of Two" package plan is GREAT for last-minute decisions/changes.
If the $400 minimum is not in budget...sorry...maybe we can work together on a future project. Consider having the delivery made on Saturday.
We WILL deliver orders on Sunday Holidays like Mother's Day and Father's Day with a $44.95 minimum. Please order online: BalloonPlanet
"Will you work at the Convention Center?"
Answer ~ YES! Our minimum is $400.00. And, then add Delivery Fees and Sales Tax (8.25%). Please confirm with your contact if you can use helium...there are sections where only air-filled balloons are allowed...like the exhibit hall. There have been occasions where helium was allowed in a meeting room (customer must arrange to break all the balloons after the event, because the venue will charge for any escaping balloons :(
If the $400 minimum is not in budget...sorry we can't help you. This venue is one of the most-challenging places for us to work. The process to unload and get to the booth or meeting room will sometimes take longer than the actual time needed to decorate:
1. we wait in line to let security allow our van to enter the loading dock (once this took an hour);
2. we get to unload but can not leave our vehicle there;
3. after unloading, we are required to move the van and must pay parking fees (the lot is a distance away);
4. then we must walk from the lot ALL the way back to the dock; 5. from the dock we must walk long distances (it's a BIG place) to find the booth or meeting room.
